Vans x Leader Bikes – “Reflective Pack” Era, Old Skool & Slip-On (5.13.16)

vans-leader-bikes-sneakers-01

Words via Highsnobiety:

“Vans teams up with Leader Bikes for the second time across a number of reflective goods for Spring/Summer 2016. While T-shirts, caps and a backpack are included in the offerings, the most eye-catching products in the lineup include three sneakers: the Era, Old Skool and Slip-On.

Each sneaker features Ventile canvas construction for riding in all-weather conditions, alongside reflective material for night riding. Of course they’re fit for day use as well thanks to their simple monochromatic colorways.

Look for the collection to release on May 13 in all Brotures shops, Vans shops, and ABC Marts in Japan and Korea. Those of us in the U.S. will be limited to purchasing the collection only at Brotures Bike Shop in San Diego.”

For the third time, The Shadow Conspiracy and Vans have teamed up to bring you another rad pack of shoes.  The “Shadow Penumbra” Pack marks the 10th Anniversary of Shadow Conspiracy’s “Shadow Penumbra” seat line, choosing to go with the Era Pro, Chukka Low, and Chukka Mid, drawing inspiration from the brand’s BMX seat designs. The Era and Chukka Low see all-over prints, including their “Human Nature” and a woodland-inspired graphic, while the Chukka Mid sees a mix of high quality leather and wax canvas in a soft black that is made for durability.  Each pair features all of the Pro additions, like a Duracap toe bumper reinforcement, and the newly redesigned Ultracush footbed insert, which is much more softer than the previous version.  These are now available on the Vans webstore, so support UTP and pick up a pair by clicking on the pic above, or after the jump!

Vans x Haro Bikes – Capsule Collection (Summer 2013)

Highsnobiety-vans-supreme-timeline-011

Words via Hypebeast:

“Vans teams up with legendary cycling company Haro Bikes to produce a limited capsule. Though Vans is widely known for its skate-heavy heritage, the brand has also historically supported skating’s two-wheeled foils. Given Haro Bikes’ innovation – starting from one of the first mass-produced freestyle frames: The Haro Original Freestyler – this collaboration riffs on both brands’ extensive history of design and pioneering. As such, blue and green vintage-inspired racing stripes and checkerboards are the running motif throughout the collection, which includes: the Sk8-Hi, the Era (both pictured here), a range of T-shirts, and snap-closure hats. Enjoy a look the Haro x Vans collection, which releases July 15 at worldwide retailers.”

Vans x Haro BMX – Capsule Collection (Summer 2013)

full_harovans_475816

Words via BMXUnion:

“It looks like Vans and Haro have teamed up to do some limited edition Freestyler shoes. Pat Casey posted these shots of the shoes up on Instagram giving you a look at two versions, an old school high top with the classic Vans checkered pattern and the old Freestyler logo, and then some classic lows with the same checkered pattern. No word on the release, but I’d imagine it won’t be long before you will be able to get yourself a pair or two.”  OTWS members have also found a few press photos of the Era and Sk8-Hi, which can be seen after the jump!

Vans x Odyssey BMX – Authentic “Texas Toast Jam 2012”

Vans has teamed up with Odyssey BMX, out of Austin, Texas, to bring you this awesome Authentic, designed in a red canvas with the Texas Toast Jam logo in an all-over print.  The shoes feature a custom logo on the footbed, as well as on the heel tab.  If you’re in the market for some rare (100 pairs) Red Authentics, and you’re going to be at the Texas Toast Jam on Oct. 13-14th, then try to score a pair of these!  On a side note, has anyone else tried grilled Texas Toast?  Next time you have a bbq, buy a package of the real Texas Toast, not the one with the cheese on top, and take it right out of the frozen box, and throw it on the grill.  Coals or propane.  Toast it up for a few seconds, until some slight charring starts to occur, and bam!  You won’t want it any other way after that!  I Guar-Own-Tee it!  Okay, enough already.
