Vans’ first skate shoe, the Era undergoes a fashionable update with jaguar-printed calf hair across the heel and upper, accented with premium white leather. If you’re a baseball fan, then these might be for you. Well, mainly if you’re a Dodgers, Astros, or Cubs fan, because that’s about the only teams that are currently being offered at the moment. If you’re a Giants fan, then you may want to try your luck at finding the highly limited TNT Advanced Prototype LTD, available at select Core Vans Pro Skate shops, but this post is more about the GR pairs available through most Vans outlets, including online right now. The Dodgers pair comes in an all blue canvas Sk8-Hi, with large Dodgers logo on the side panel. The Astros get a wool Sk8-Mid Reissue, featuring one of their throwback logos in orange, navy, and white. The Cubs get two variations, one in a wool Slip-On, and the other in a blue Sk8-Mid Reissue featuring a cool red and white jazz stripe. Smaller logo details can be seen on the heel of each shoe. Vans continues to update its Classics silhouettes with the release of the Vintage Military pack for fall. The pack showcases premium design elements including a rich, textured suede and a vintage-inspired foxing first seen on Vans styles from the late ‘70s.
First introduced in 1978 during the height of vert skating and freestyle BMX, the Sk8-Hi was a pivotal footwear style that delivered protection from the rising demands of both sports without sacrificing style. In 1979, Vans updated its original Sk8-Hi model to include a rubber toe bumper for increased durability. Today, Vans reintroduces the toe bumper on the Sk8-Hi Reissue 138 as part of the Vintage Military assortment. Available in two colorways that draw influence from traditional workwear suiting, a premium suede in dress blues and dusty olive dresses the hi-top’s uppers, while a tonal leather Sidestripe can be found on the quarter panels. Each Sk8-Hi 138 model is finished with a marshmallow outsole and a ridged toe bumper detailing. Vans’ original deck shoe rounds out the four pack in two additional colorways including corsair and desert sage that draws influence from customary military regalia. The Authentic 138 showcases vintage-inspired suede uppers, brass eyelets and marshmallows cotton laces, sole and textured toe cap.
The Vintage Military collection will be available to shop in Vans retail stores and online at Vans.com/Classics this July.

Celebrating the “Off The Wall” Super Heroes of the Marvel Universe, Vans introduces an extensive range of co-branded footwear, apparel and accessories featuring an all-star roster of iconic personas including The Avengers, Black Panther, Deadpool, Iron Man, Hulk and more! The Vans x Marvel collection is an epic collaboration for the ages, assembling a massive line-up of 70-plus styles for fans of all ages.
The Vans x Marvel collection kicks off with a selection of footwear inspired by The Avengers. Representing the Super Hero squad, a custom Old Skool has been outfitted with a unique color story to symbolize key members; a vivid blue toe-box and shield graphic heel counter are a nod to Captain America while the shoe tongue has been reimagined to mimic a piece of Iron Man’s high-tech suit of armor. Finishing details include a silver leather wing Sidestripe that takes styling cues from the all-mighty Thor and a brightly colored outsole that don Hulk’s signature green and purple tones. The Authentic presents a subtler aesthetic, showcasing additional Marvel Super Heroes such as Black Panther, Black Widow and Spider-Man in an allover print that also matches back to a selection of men’s t-shirts, hat, sandal and sock options as well as a special checkered apparel pack just for women.
Black Panther, Hulk and Spider-Man are seen once again in the collection with their own dedicated capsules. Stylized with heavy-duty ripstop, claw-like hardware and embossed embellishments, the Black Panther Sk8-Hi references King T’Challa’s vibranium suit. Black Panther makes another appearance on the Vans x Marvel short sleeve tee and Torrey jacket, combining classic comic book artwork with vintage Vans graphics. The Classic Slip-On showcases Hulk’s amazing strength as his feet burst through the checkerboard pattern of Vans’ cherished lace-free sneaker. Hulk fans can rejoice in building an incredible head-to-toe look, as he has his own hat, t-shirt and sock styles while She Hulk makes her debut on the Vans x Marvel Pull Over Hoodie and short sleeve tee. Spider-Man’s superhuman abilities are on full display across the Classic Slip-On sneaker and Slide-On sandal while his spider web motifs and core colors influence the design of additional men’s, women’s and kid’s apparel and accessory pieces. Like a true arch nemesis, Venom counters Spider-Man’s vivid colors with a small-yet-sinister apparel offering that features the symbiotic Super Villain’s menacing grin. Deadpool makes a surprise cameo in the Vans x Marvel collection with a special colorway of the Sk8-Hi. Detailed in durable red and black leather, Vans’ coveted high-top is inspired by Deadpool’s suit, with weapons such as the katana and ninja stars embedded in its build for added protection against foes.

Captain Marvel makes her apparel debut on a pullover, ringer tee and crew tee in her own “Off The Wall” logo pose; her suit’s colors and iconography inspire brand new backpack and crew sock accessories. Vans, the first action sports apparel and footwear brand to ever support BMX, is introducing retro-inspired colorways across two Classic silhouettes as part of the BMX Checkerboard Pack. The five-piece collection out this fall uses vintage color combinations and Vans iconic checkerboard pattern to update the Era and Sk8-Hi models.
Designers looked to the brand’s nearly 40-year legacy in action sports, drawing inspiration from colorways first worn and sported by its own BMX team riders in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. The BMX Checkerboard pack highlights the Era and Sk8-Hi, which are each outfitted in a two-tone color scheme and checkerboard printed sidewalls. The Era will be available in three colorways including an ode to the original red and navy two-tone model that was first developed by Dogtown legends, Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta in 1976. The star of the collection offering comes from the Sk8-Hi, which was a pivotal shoe for the performance of BMX riders because it provided ankle coverage and protection when racing BMX and attempting freestyle tricks on bikes. The BMX Checkerboard Sk8-Hi honors that progression with two color-ups each featuring Checkerboard along the quarter panels in addition to the checkered sidewall.
The BMX Checkerboard Pack will be available to shop in Vans retail stores and online at Vans.com/classics beginning this June.

“Every season, Vans footwear designers develop new ways to evolve and transition Vans Classic icons with seasonal updates and new material applications. For spring, Vans presents the patchwork denim pack in three Classic footwear models that draw inspiration from traditional Japanese boro patchworking and sashiko stitching.
“This collection was inspired by the quilting technique that was typically found on clothing as a way to mend and repair garments for longevity,” said Vans Head of Classic Footwear Design, Angie Dita. “With boro patchwork comes beauty out of necessity. We wanted to showcase the sturdy construction with denim and heavy stitching on our heritage footwear models.”
The Authentic has been reimagined using an all over heavy canvas that mimics denim and is accented with denim patches that implement the sashiko stitching process across the vamp and heel counter.
