Sorry for such late news about these, but by now you’ve seen the first and second drops of this year’s Vault by Vans x WTAPS collection. It’s a unique one for sure, including some first time pieces from the Vans Snow side. What’s also new, is the fact that Vans has put the entire collection up on their webstore for purchase. This is crazy to us! The only pieces missing are the snowboard boots and the Slip-Er, which I think never made it to production, or it was just an Asia exclusive. Don’t quote me on that one.

This time around, they went with a sick Coyote colorway for the entire collection, done up entirely in a smooth nubuck suede. We also got two iconic crossbones designs out of this release, which is always a fan favorite amongst WTAPS Vans collectors. The apparel and accessories that accompany the shoes are top notch, coming in the same earthy tones that WTAPS is known for. Check ’em out!

Pairs are still available, even though these came out around a month ago, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It either means the hype is dying down, or Vans just doubled down on production on these, so double up if you can, as we all agree that this collection is timeless.

Vans Snow x Jamie Lynn – V-66 Snowboard Boot, Sk8-Hi MTE, and Slip-Er (Winter 2016)

Vans honors snowboarding legend, Jamie Lynn with the debut of the Vans V-66 snowboard boot in Jamie Lynn’s signature colorway. A strong lace-up snowboard boot built for every rider and terrain, the V-66 snowboard boot embodies a classic Vans look, built with the technology and support demanded by snowboarding’s most iconic style pioneer, Jamie Lynn.

A true innovator of snowboarding style and part of the Vans family for over 18 years, Jamie has helped cultivate today’s snowboarding landscape. Not only known for his trademark backside air’s and classic style, he is also a gifted artist, skateboarder, and musician.

The Vans V-66 in Jamie Lynn’s signature colorway sees an elevated aesthetic this season, boasting premium material and function while highlighting Jamie’s own vibrant Pacific Northwest-inspired artwork. The V-66’s traditional lace-up boot construction is packed with features carefully engineered to form an all-terrain boot with freestyle inclinations. The Tongue Lock Down System helps pull down the tongue as you tighten the boot at the instep to eliminate heel lift, and the Reach Around cuff strap attached to the inside shell of the boot allows snowboarders the choice of wrapping the strap around the internal liner or the exterior tongue, providing a custom fit. The V-66 also features an internal wrap harness for a more personalized fit, Waffleflex outsoles for lightweight performance, heat-moldable Response liners for a dialed-in fit with precision response, and dual-density UltraCush V2 footbeds for mechanical support and dampening.

Vans expands Jamie Lynn’s signature footprint further to include a SK8-Hi MTE, showcasing his unique artwork on the sidewall, in addition to a Vans Slip-Er to provide the full off-mountain kit.

Vans x Holden – Sk8-Hi (review!)

Finally, some real pics of the newly released Vans x Holden Sk8-Hi! Thanks to Erwin, for purchasing these right when they came out, because now I can give you all a proper review, in a timely fashion, while these are still in stock. However, I believe that after this post, that’s all going to change. Materials are the name of the game these days, especially when it comes to special collaborations, and that is what’s going to make these sell, even if everyone has at least 10 different variations of a black on white pair of Vans. There is no question that these are a must have for you collectors. From the soft, supple, premium leathers, to the black waxed canvas (that Vans seems to have a surplus on), to the cream colored sole, complete with a suede foxing strip, with stitching. Oh, it doesn’t end there. The Holden branded removable PU sockliner has the same material and cream color as the soft leather lining, for added comfort, and the waxed laces are a must when you’ve taken a shoe’s design this far into premiumville! The heel tab has an embossed “h” on it, the tongue has a big red Holden tag that will instantly tell others what these are, and there’s a small personal message on the inner top lace eyelet, just for you :). Peep the jump, for some awesomely detailed pics, because this is definitely one of those “look’s better in person” kind of shoes. Also, need I remind you that these are only $79.99?!!

A few months back, we learned of this awesome Vans x Holden collaboration, and you don’t have to wait much longer, as these have started shipping to dealers that are going to be carrying these. If you do an internet search for “Vans Holden”, you’ll find a few shops that are already preselling these, with shipments arriving early next week. Don’t sleep on a sick looking Sk8-Hi, constructed with some premium materials to boot! They’re going for $79.99 at most spots, like TightBoards.com. Only available for purchase inside the USA, but I’m sure you can find a proxy buyer on our OTWS forums, with no problem!
