There is a black suede colorway and a grey suede syndicate colorway. The canvas has a dual layer or rubber fused to the entire inside of toe cap and has been tested to outlast normal suede. Also, Chima gets what Chima wants when it comes to his shoe.

Oh I saw the grey suede one.. Looking forward to that release. Black suede sound SUPER sick, Im excited to try them. I understand he gets what he wants, it makes sense to me that he'd pick it since he's always skated era's and authentic's. I didn't know about the rubber fusion, sounds interested. I eat my words.

The Vans store near me has this fabric sample that shows you the rubber w/ the suede and how it all comes together. Doubt it'll help move more pairs, but it's a nice nod to the tech itself.

Also, I just swapped the white laces to the navy, so I guess that makes SamColt12 and I lacenemies. :(

I love this shoe. This were uncomfortable at first, but then I swapped that ultra cush insole for a vault PU foam insole and now they're perfect! Definitely a shoe that will last, skating or not.

How's the fit on these?

^^^ im a solid 9 but can do 8.5 in classic sk8 hi and old skools (with my toe touching front)..... so squeezed to an 8.5 for these.... a little snug at first, and that rubber duracap doesnt stretch (thats the point of it ! :) but after a week they are a perfect shape to my foot. looks good with no socks or the no show.... tts for me would have ended up looking a little sloppy. so i think you should probably go 9.5 if you are between the 9.5 / 10 decision.

^ Agreed, these fit a little snug to me. I went a half size up, now they're perfect, that ultra cush insole is pretty thick.

ahh crap ^^^ you went UP to a 12 then, Akamedaniel? I guess it really just comes down to the foot... i hate hate hate having any toe room since I have a narrow foot... would rather crush it down and have it fit perfect than be any bit too sloppy. So i went down 1/2 size, Daniel went UP a half size...

most of my customers have been buying tts or 1/2 size down though as well.... consensus wise... I guess those that are skating in them at least, thats the feedback I get.

^Agreed, it's all about the shape of your foot. I feel like length size these fit TTS, but it's just the top of the toebox that really gets me. I have a tall foot, so I deal with this a lot, mainly with E-Streets.. sometimes Zero Lo's, basically any shoe that's got a lengthy toe box.

I think we like our shoes to fit the same way, Brant. I'll always prefer going a half size down than a half size up. I hate a sloppy foot. I think I have a pretty normal foot width, but I can't tolerate heel slippage! Thanks for the info on these, though. Gonna hunt down the Syndicates and that blue floral pair and the gray pro pair are tempting me, as well...

Currently on a 3-week road trip around the US, and I brought these along. They've handled things pretty well, and don't look too beat despite hikes in the Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest.
i've a few blisters on the bottom of one foot. So, fit's good - par for the course.
