I thought id start this thread early..

Confirmed as a 2014 release. Not sure if these samples are for sure, only time will tell.

I wonder if it was a good move, to make these more fashion forward, with the prints and stuff, rather than make them toyish, or a replica of the characters like every other collab has done? Starting a Star Wars fashion line maybe?! I dunno. I mean, why do a collab then? The 2 Authentics shown above look awesome though, and even if there wasn't a character or logo in the pattern, it would still be a nice shoe.

Honestly, Im really glad they went with a different approach. I heard about these a little while back and I really didn't think id be on board with these, like Bill said, I already had an image in my head of an all-over cartoon print of Chewie or some other cartoony shit, a floral pattern was probably the furthest from my mind. I'm really digging the floral joints though! I feel like the camo pattern has definitely been over used in the past couple months (ie. Vault Authentics, Van Doren Eras, CA Authentics, Waxed Canvas GR Authentics, Syndicate Old Skools etc) so I could do without those.

Can't wait to see what else might be in this series! I like that it's different, but it's also unlikely I'd get either of those pairs. Even though I'm a Vans and Star Wars nerd, camo and floral are the patterns I don't really do…

But who am I kidding, I'd probably get the floral for my girlfriend and the camo for myself. haha

I do want like 10 sets of those laces!

Very smart for doing this. Doesn't have to appeal just to star wars fans but anyone can rock these. Very excited to see what's next.

I can see some sk8-hi's pairing or even some old skools, just like the marvel release.

I'll stand for the Star Wars nerds and say this.. If there isn't a shoe released with Boba Fett on it, I'll be livid. Super detailed (not cartoonish) Boba Fett getting some air time with the jet pack and firing off some shots on the side of an Olive Sk8 Hi would be a must have.

Please dont hate me for this next commet lol. -to this day I have NOT seen a Star Wars movie from beiging to end. (Original Star Wars not the 1,2,3 episodes). So for me I need to do some homework an watch these films to understand THE importance of this collab. But I'm very excited for this!!

We did a Netflix queue thing, and just watched them all in order, every few nights. That's the best way, and to tell you the truth, I didn't think that the first 3 really tied into each other. They were sort of their own thing, with new environments, characters, and unrelated story lines (to me).
