Sneaker customizing has been around for years now, and the evolution of it seems to be moving at a faster pace more recently, thanks in part to guys like “theMenace” here, who are practicing the fine art of sneaker reconstructing, or better known in the sneaker customizing community, as “recon”. Unique materials play a crucial role in a design, and with the color-shifting skin, and the black color-reflecting patent leather, these are going to leave some people with a sore neck, that’s for sure. The side panels were wrapped in a black woven dragon & phoenix brocade, while the signature Vans racing stripe, was made up in a gold lenticular material. It finishes off with metal silver lace eyelets, 3 pairs of laces, and even a custom box.
