Bodega and Vans Vault are releasing this Sk8-Hi Reissue LX this upcoming Saturday, dubbed “Instant Winner”. With inspiration being drawn from the history and culture of gambling. There’s a nice write-up that BDGA shared, on the mindset of gambling, and it’s rich history, which I’ve saved for after the jump. For now, let’s just talk about the details on the shoe. For starters, the colors chosen are of the green variety, but more on the earth-tone side of things. The materials chosen consists of some nubuck, premium tumbled leather, and canvas. They went for gum soles, which pairs up perfectly with the colors of the upper. There’s custom embroidery on the heel, and Bodega 10th anniversary branding on the footbeds. Well done Bodega! Well done.

“You don’t exactly need and extensive background in anthropology or psychology to understand
that uncertainty is frightening, and uncertainty that we don’t understand the circumstances of is
