Haha, yeah, crazy, huh?! Mostly cuz I don't know what I'd wear those with, which sucks cuz I love tech-y Vans! And these have just about everything! They even left out the perforation on the toe, which has bothered me with other "water resistant" or "cold weather" sk8-hi's. But if I had a matching patch on a jacket, then it seems like things could come together for some reason. haha If you see a 9.5, let me know and I may be down, depending on if I can scrape together a bit of an extra shoe budget for this month.

i went to a army surplus the day i got the defcons and they have tons of cool velcro patches the military use.
lots of cool ideas. the laces look great.
the defcons are fucking awesome. love the fit.

Man that's too bad. On the back burner of my mind I worried that this would happen to my pairs. Maybe just find a similar patch somewhere like Miles suggested.

in all seriousness I took the patches off my pair to wear as it made the tongue a lot more flexible. put the bolt on my bag instead.

The patch maker sent me a pic of a sample of what the patch will look like. I'm open to opinions, but what do y'all think?! Should we do yellow embroidery like the OG lightning bolt patch? Each patch is currently $2.30, so a pair would be roughly $5, plus postage. Is that affordable for y'all? I don't want to order 50 patches (enough for 25 shoes), at $115, just to sit on a bunch of them, haha! I can always order less, like 20 patches, but the price goes up to like $5 each! That's how they get you.

Revised sample (tighter weave, thus giving sharper corners, but I'm still trying to get them to fix the unevenness of the W. It looks a little high.)

the yellow to match the OG. i would get 4 as I copped 2 pairs. are they ready with the backing to attach to the kicks?
