Not to mention I'm pretty sure a lot of people thought these would only release through DQM, and the DQM site crashed so many times they probably gave up.
If Vans says 300 per style, then 300 it is.
People are trying to make this bigger than it is.

Wolfs has all the angles worked out, lol. And sorry to hear about that OC cancellation. Man, fuck them forever. FOREVER! And regarding those rumors of more than 300 pairs made, solely based off of the length of time it took to sell out...that must've been coming from a new sneakerhead. We know our Vans better than anyone else out there. GUARANTEED. Which means we know that in the world of Nike/Jordan, 300 pairs is unheard of, but in Vans, that's a decent production run for a limited edition release. Blends only did 100 pairs, and a few of you have them, right? Vans is nowhere near the Swoosh's level in the realm of sneakerdom, and these kids are doing what inexperienced kids do...being a "know-it-all".
Fuck Opening Ceremony!

I agree.
I think they didn't sell out instantly because of the fast turnaround from announcement to drop.
announced friday - drop at midnight saturday
Vans fans knew it, Regular humans did not.
Most regular humans still don't know.
And I'm glad to report shipping confirmation on all 8 of my pairs.
Happy, happy, happy...

Guam no angles at all! I call it dumb luck.
I just called and asked if when they released I could do a phone order and they said they could hold them for me. I wasn't gonna turn that down so I gave them my card info and they charged it on Sunday. I'm pretty sure anybody could have done that.

Hehe, you always have luck when it comes to just asking. Mary Janes come to mind! And I think the eBay "asking" prices is what fueled the rapid sell-out starting on Sunday morning. All Saturday night, they sat on the websites that posted them up. Little do all these people know, those asking prices are far fetched from realistic pricing. I honestly can't see these capping $300-$350 max. Maybe in a few years for the Yoda and Darth cabs, but the rest? C'mon! colette posted up smaller sizes, and even a 6 in the Yoda cabs! I want to get my girl a matching pair, but the wallet is holding me back. Need to sell some Supreme foamposites already!

LoL not a homie hookup sir, that's my dilemna. Everyone who's asked me has been a friend of mine. Someone I don't want to get maximum price out of, but with a high profile shoe like the Sup foams, I have to. I'd be a sucker not to. NYC didn't even release the shoe in-store! That's unheard of! On a side note, I bought my girl the sz6 Yoda on colette with a credit card, smh. My inner Hypebeast came out. $185 after shipping. Where else would I get a sz6 from for less, right? They were the only ones who dropped these smaller sizes.

Don't know. I doubt it. This was probably something to kick off the whole Star Wars campaign, and wanted to meet the May 4th date, and of course all the while staying true to Star Wars fans, by making it collectable, thus being limited in production. The only thing missing is numbering them 1-300. I mean, if they can individually # a collaboration with a company that makes leather bicycle seats, then why not something for the O.G. fanboys?!
