just to clarify / avoid the rumor mill getting too crazy ----

the shoes cab posted on instagram ARE a future release, but are not syndicate, and are for 2013. He really jumped the gun on posting those up.

Since the syndicate version image leaked, I might as well let you know that there will be a couple more colorways to release around the same time this holiday..and the shoe is exclusive to syndicate for 2012. The other two colors are a little less fashiony. Those photos of the gray one are extremely burned out, the gray is much more mellow / subtle. the angles and crushed shoe makes it appear much more dumpy than it is. Without getting into other details, it looks good on the foot, is definitely made to skate, and weighs about 1/2 of what a regular halfcab does.

Sometimes Vans can only be appreciated by people who know how they work with a skatebaord.
These are a SKATE shoe like most other Vans, and as far as shape and build, these are great.
Vans shouldn't EVER be judged in a fashion sense when it's a shoe with a pro's name on it.

the quality on the grey pair looks terrible. vans, you need get a new factory to make your shit. syndicate without the story wouldn't be syndicate. plus syndicate always use the darker shade of colors with the few exceptions. man, vans really messed this syndicate line up.

True. These are still a little plain for me tastes, though.

I love these. The colorway is dope too, but yes, it does have that core model vibe. I guess this is where Syndicate's new direction is going, which is totally not the demographic of most Syndicate buyers.

Magas - no need to be sorry --- a message board is for stating your thoughts and discussion! Your opinion and attention to detail is important....and when you ultimately cast your vote with your buying dollars - at some level, vans hears that too.


I want to see the criticism just as much as the praise....

I really just want to buy several pairs of the OS's! The black ones are perfect. The sole looks to be the DT one that is also on the Wtaps SK8 Mids. If that's the cae, then these are my shits right here. I love the shape of the sole, and the height in the Sample pictures. I really, really hope that they keep them just like they are.

closest thing I can do to help is reference the clean toe of the stage 4 mid.... and just reiterate how badly that leaked photo of the gray pair is laced and bent up. like it got beat with an ugly stick.
