True about the Barbee's! For some reason I was thinking that was just a collab type model, like the Grosso's or Hosoi's (even though those have straight cut toe bumpers), so that's how I reasoned it in my mind... I'm thinkin' that was just personal choice on his end, though. The majority of the time, it'll be straight cut it seems.

I'd be down for a fake Vans guide!

Toe bumpers have angle cut, because all 90's Old Skools had them.

The toe bumper seems cut at an angle, rather than straight up and down or curved.

These are just fakes, I don't think they were trying to fake Barbee's or vintage releases. Just inaccurate copy of todays gr Old Skools.
Notice that right shoe's toe bumper is cut at an angle (it's still straight, not rounded, but there is an angle) while left shoe's toe bumper on the inner side looks like it's straight cut at pretty much 90 degrees angle.

Haha, those are actually almost kinda cool.

Check out the sole, it looks like it's that fabric coated rubber that you see on shoes at like, target and stuff... Why the heck do shoe companies do that(well, probably cuz it must be cheap, haha)? Converse does that on parts of the Chucks sole now, too... Although with theirs it's more like paper coating. Never understood it since it makes 'em so slippery.

Need to do a comparison.

Hahaha, you know, some of those are actually kinda cool if they were legit. Those black and red checkered half cabs are sweet! It's odd that Vans rarely ever puts out a checkered pair of half cabs these days, yet they do it in all their other classic models.

Did you check out those fake Disney's on the link Crimson posted, Guam? Some of 'em are actually pretty sweet! I don't even know that they're copied from any release I've seen either. So I guess that makes them original fakes. haha
