Just saw this picture on the Vans Skate section of their webshop.

Is it just me, or are those the Fucking Awesome Authentics, blacked out for obvious reasons..

That colorway would be "Fucking Awesome"!

I'd say the sample pair photoshopped all black. Considering its still got the GR heel tab.

^^^ yupper. in the sp 14 catalog there are some photoshops that qualify as disasters for sure... this one is suspect as well, but at least in the print version, most people wouldnt have noticed...def more visible on web though.... Good eye!

its a minor point, but I don't see anywhere that these are regarded as vans syndicate. I cant tell from the photo if the S has changed or not, either....but it looks like a classic vans flag.

in the comments section of HB someone asked a question and regarded FA as "ducking sesame".... not sure if that was an auto correct or him just being clever / funny.....but i like it.

"ducking sesame" has nothing on "cussing awesome".

the Black ones are old. Those were the samples/promo shoes that were made for FA.

I think someone brought up earlier in this discussion that these were originally gonna be just a Vans x FA collab. Vans didn't want the cussing or something so it became just a promo shoe for FA. Now Syndicate took on the job.

Never seen that pic before, but would Syndicate ever use non-removable GR insoles? The ones in that pic appear to be of that type. The heel tabs are solid red from what I can see, which is of course Syndicate. I guess we'll just have to continue speculating.
