Just bought mine. Then I realized afterwards that they made these with the fucked up shaped sole and IFC waffle. Bums me out so much.

What do you mean? The sole looks fine in the pics? And aren't most Vans with the IFC waffle? I feel like I see that on most pairs.

The new IFC sole is too wide in the toe area. It's in most cases wider then the upper, and when you look at the shoe head on, it doesn't taper in toward the bottom (like how a muffin looks), instead, they go outward and it's the worst thing ever. The compunds are worse, too, and the sole is super flexible instead of being hard and sturdy. It's cheaply made and looks, feels, wears down, and skates like garbage. instead of wearing away smoothly, it looks as if it's tearing away. Recently, Vans has started to make a lot of their shoes with it. Even Syndicates. People who don't skate probably never notice, but when it comes to sole compounds, I'm super picky, because the sole is the most important part of the shoe. I might call Undefeated and cancel my order..

Cancelled. God, someone who skates and knows their shit needs to be head of quality control over at Vans. I'm so tired of passing up beautiful kicks because the sole on them is trash. The whole upper of this shoe is outstanding, and I almost bought two of them. Now I gotta go without. But at least my wallet's happier

Interesting! I'll have to check to see if all the pairs I've noticed wearing faster than usual are the IFC kind. I've noticed a lot of colored soles seem to wear faster than the gum rubber soles, but then I haven't really looked that far into it to see which specific rubber type they were using.

I don't really mind the wider sole, as long as it's flush with the rest of the wall. Depends on the shoe, cuz some of mine I love that the sole has the muffin top, and some of 'em really irk me that they have the muffin top (on those pairs, I feel like it looks like they matched up the wrong size sole to the shoe size).

I've noticed it as far back as the 004 Syndicate line, now that I've looked. So I guess they've been using it in Syndicates for a while!

Yeah seriously ^, I tried looking these up the second I saw this pic, like maybe it was some kind of secret release, but absolutely no luck.

Guys these were samples. They were on ebay and in my watched list for quite some time, long before I knew/heard anything about Levi Maestro. The listing, which was from CollectiveLTD, didn't mention anything about L.M.
They were a size 9 though. Really dope
