That's right. I mixed up what day it was today. She had an 8am flight or something. Funnily enough, her plane had a failed engine and a 7hr delay before takeoff, so I really should have pushed her to head over and do a pickup. Ah well. Too polite for my own good.

Looks like they are going to do 4 metallica shoes. Heard spring of next year, or even for fall. 3 of the shoes will be GR's and 1 for metallica fan club members. Not sure on styles but know they will probably be sk8 hi's, but one will be a half cab. Also looks like "kill em all" is going to be one of the shoes

So I noticed that the Journeys site has Bad Brains, Iron Maiden "The Trooper," Bad Religion, Slayer, and Social Distortion sk8-hi's up for pre-order! I wonder how the quality will compare to the originals of each? It's hard to tell based on the pics. The Bad Brains sk8-hi's seem to lack the most details compared to the original, but they all seem to just have the standard Vans tag on the tongue... But, the pics might not be the final run, so who knows!

wish they would have done the social distortion old skools instead of the sk8 hi. now people will think my sxsw x nice kicks are just the journeys ones haha

Not that I could tell, the pics on the jourmeys website aren't that great. Think they should have done different ones like they did with the non online only releases ie. Iron maiden troopers and slayers

Are these re releases exclusive to journeys? I just barely noticed this. I'm looking to get the trooper sk8 hi, but it's on backorder for now in my size.

I've seen some from the original release that didn't have a drawer box. I wonder if they had some non LX versions sold at Journeys back then, too, or something?
