Check it out. Both of the Strangers came with the black Vans sticker, like we saw on those "supposedly fake" Burgundy Bones Sk8-Hi's on eBay. Perhaps a second production on those? Who knows...


Here's the insoles. The Dri-Lex are for barefoot I assume, even though the cupped sole inserts feel more comfortable for bare feet IMO!



Also, on the Dri-Lex inserts, they are a mirror reflection of each other on both sides, so basically you can flip it over and use the other side after one gets worn out!

Interesting! Hopefully I can still track down a pair when I get paid next. Definitely a cool release.

Hey told me that the pair he got is from a rerelease batch that went to family/friends/workers of Vans. He had some ties with them but I can't remember what he said. He also mentioned that the pair seen on Nash was from the same batch.

Must be nice to have a shoe create such unexpected hype and sell out like hot cakes, and no big deal, they just place an order for more! Hopefully it was a really limited run. Why can't they do that shit with stuff like the Vault x Taka Pendletons, or my favorite, the Jason Jessee Notchback Sk8-Hi's?! OR 003 W)Taps!!

Raising the dead!

Now that it's finally summer and hot out, I can wear these shoes that came out last fall. haha

Super comfortable for the most part! I feel like they could've been designed better for barefoot use, though... Everything just feels sticky with the pigskin lining everywhere. I feel like they should've used the dri-lex for the whole lining of the shoe instead of just the forefoot of the barefoot insole... Maybe it requires more break-in time, but I think a more dry foot overall would make these super awesome. Or maybe Julien Stranger just likes the sticky-foot feel. haha

With socks, they're great with either insole, though.
