the leather on the Sk8 His with the strap is going to be some of the same leather used on the Zapatos... just sayin.

When Vans collabs with Horween the only leather they are gonna use is Horween which is known for making/crafting nice leather.

i see what you're saying, but disagree. the leather on the barco/mtn is oiled and looks to be full-grain, the sk8-hi has half grain embossed leathers, from leftovers if i were to hazard a guess... probably why their price point is lower.

Agreed, Im not really feeling that harsh tumbled leather(or w/e material it is) where the camo's at. Also bummed they left out the Taka style stitching on the wave.

Yeah. They still look good but the first images like at the top of the page are definitely better.
Stitching, laces, and the leather are all different like you said.

Hopefully go back towards the original preview... Make up for the carhartts

As they are in the latest pics - I would do a couple things at home to improve the looks:

- Leather laces: easy fix
- Neutral polish on the nubuck. Will lose the suede effect but the leather would flow much better with the overall.

I was all for that sk8-mid from that first picture (and I don't even like sk8-mid's!) but yeah, those other pictures are turning me off to 'em. I actually don't mind the heavily distressed leather, I don't like the fact that the toe box has that leather. Should have just kept it to the side panels.
