The Cab lites don't contain a single piece of technology that's used in the LXVI range though so that's a bit of a moot point.

What makes the old skool's so comfortable, Brant? Just curious since you said once you have 'em on you'll never want to take 'em off! Are the sk8-hi's just as comfortable?

^^^ its really just the look of them. So when i first saw the pack, i was drawn to the hi for obvious reasons, and the old skool came in a distant second place. but trying them on and looking down at the black toe, just the way its colorblocked out makes a lot more sense then when i first held them in my hand.

I am also a fan of the way the pigskin immediately flexes and molds to your foot, but that is not anything necessarily specific to this shoe. They have just been building old skool pro's so well lately.

I guess I just wore them with the right chino's and was excited about the look, it became my every day pretty quickly.

I wear Old Skools more than any other Vans model, and I believe the comfort comes from the laces starting out way down, just above your toes. That allows the shoe to flex more naturally. That's what I feel at least.

Holy crap! I read the 'disclaimer' on SILO's website for this release and had no idea it would be so hyped up.

Sk8-Hi is sold out and the OS is slim pickins.

^ oh Man FDA, I am sorry!!!!

I had guys in Afghanistan sitting at the canteen stealing wifi hitting refresh 50x in the middle of the night waiting for these....have had some really crazy stories thus far. Wish i had enough pairs to take care of everyone.... but then I guess, thats what makes it so exciting and them valuable, right? Crazy thing is realizing how many of these pairs are going to get ground into dust in tactical training and casual military use.... definitely worth holding onto a few just to see where the value goes, these could get crazy. If they were true mil spec aor I bet they'd be $500+

Overall I was glad to see a good amount of familiar faces and names in the mix, I think most of the regulars here were taken care of, short of a few mishaps out of my control. Always appreciate the support, my friends! Will report back what scraps and extras I can come up with on a restock of some sort.
