This online release seemed to me a bit easier than the ubiq release still sucked and took a ton of time but I managed to get both pairs and just got my shipping confirmation. I wasn't sure about these at first but Bills review and pics gave me that extra push to try to get them. I most definitely got lucky but I also fall into the common size category prob a few more pairs than the others. Seems lately that the special vault releases have their own special early release before the public which sucks and they have all the eyes on them which makes them even harder to get.

Finally some good news out of this release! Glad to see you got yours Chris. Yeah, you don't know the struggle with 12's and 11.5's bro! Especially on here. It seems like a grip of sz12 dudes came out of the woodworks and joined up, plus akamedaniel has been moving up into the 12's now too, lol! That was me a few years ago. All my earliest Vans were sz11, then I started going for the 11.5's, and now I try to get 12's in everything.

I did manage to get a 12 in the Authentics.
Thanks go out to Bill for helping me decide which shoe to gun for, I don't think I would have had a chance if I tried to get the SK8-HIs.

Finally was able to pick up my black crabs from fedex last night! Sucks having to sign for a package when you work all day. haha Super nice! Never had a pair of shoes with cork insoles before, so it'll be interesting to see how those wear in over time. Everything seems really thought out about this set. I know they're meant for wet conditions, but I think it'll take some time before I'm ready to expose them to anything too harsh. haha The tan leather spare laces are an odd choice. I know they match the insole, but nobody will be seeing the insole when on foot. Haven't tried lacing those in, though, so maybe they look ok? The only gripe I have is that they didn't double box! How do you have a limited, special edition release with custom designed boxes and just ship in a bag?! I guess I can't complain too much, though, since I actually got lucky and was able to get them!

Yeah, mine came shipped in a bag as well, but with some bubblewrap to fill in the empty spaces. Nothing worse to a sneaker collector, than seeing shoes arrive in a bag. Well there's one thing...shipping shoes only in the shoe box that they came in, lol! Labels and tape stuck right to the shoe box! That's the lowest of the low.

Damn straight Bill, it doesn't get any worse than shipping the box as is..
But still, if Im paying $28-33 for shipping (per shoe), it shouldn't be too much to ask for a double boxed package, any shoe boutique should know that.

Yea my box corners were beat up. Never happy with the bag shipping method especially on a special release.

Yeah, I know it's international shipping and all, but then you'd think they'd want to take even more care to box it properly! I have those dreaded box tears that you get when you stack 'em for too long already. haha I've had boxes come in worse shape than these, though.

Ive had priority tape stuck all over the front of a drawer box so the box was essentially taped shut. It kills me when they ship like that. The worst shipping experience ever was with this kid that sold me some dunk mids. the box was GIANT (2x2x2), half filled with packing peanuts, and when I opened it, one shoe was floating around in the peanuts and the other shoe was half way sticking out of the shoe box. It looked like simple jack's first post office trip.

I've posted these before, and they still take the cake for shipping fails!
