Yeah, that's what I did with all the wedding gig money that I made from the summer, too... Just saved up until it came down to making the purchase. I highly recommend the 24-70 lens, as well! It's the one lens that I always find myself using all the time because it's so universal.

^ Yup....pretty much my 24-70 is mounted 99% of the time, unless I have to shoot wide.

The first one fell in my lap and next thing I know I am doin a trade show for a LARGE pc/mac company .... now I hope they hire me again.

Doubt I will be doing weddings ANYTIME soon I need a backup body and faster glass to even attempt that kind of work....

If I get hired again my asking rate will be probably the same range as a 70-200 F4 IS / 700-200 F2.8 IS costs....

Gonna sell my 28-135 and my 18-55 kit lens after I get my 24-70 I think... Might hold on to the 28-135 till the 70-200 is purchased.
