Ohhh! Sorry, I was talking about the sidewall. You guys are talking about the bottoms. Yeah, the smooth sole with the kidney shaped indent in the bottom arch, are known as the deck shoe soles. That's why all of the del barcos, and chukka del barcos have them, and I guess it's just something that Vans decided to try out on other models. I like em!

They also take FOREVER to wear through! All that rubber... haha Gotta love the durability of those soles.

It's actually funny - that sole pattern was the first one used on Vans and was canceled in the 60's because it cracked easily. That's when Vans came up with the Waffle. And now they brought it back and made it more durable.

Wow Guam I didnt even notice those sidewalls.. pretty cool.

They dont look that hard to clean with a toothbrush.

Yeah, but we're talking about Vans vulcanized rubber. It's unlike any other vulcanized rubber out there, and for some reason it just attracts EVERYTHING to it. You have to use a microfiber with solution on it, to wipe the sidewalls clean, and the rag can't get into all the grooves.

Finally found a pair of Supreme Bruins for a decent price and decent condition.

I've been looking for a pair. They all seem so expensive. I shouldn't have passed on those. I was in la when they dropped too. Nice pick up!

Nice comeups right there Jonli. I had a red and a white pair in a 10.5, cause that's all that was available on the web store by the time I checked out. I still want a red sz12.

Looks like I will see how easy the sidewalls are to clean.....

Finally got a picture of these guys now that I've had 'em for over a week... haha

I'll probably put the red laces in. Doubtful that I'll use the lace locks, but they are pretty cool.

Very nice! I'm not into all of the color. But I can respect a good pair.

Haha, sounds like you're the opposite of me! Although I have way too many just black pairs of shoes, too... For me, this pair is the definite winner between the two PE's out there. Of course, I'd definitely pick up the black pair if I get the chance at a good price, too.

I love a good black on black shoe. (white mid sole is a must!) I went through my bape/rainbow phase and I'm glad that's behind me. Haha.
