Vans x Holden Sk8-Hi

Portland, Oregon snowboard-oriented label Holden got together with Vans on a special release Sk8-Hi for Fall/Winter 2011. The sneakers are constructed of premium leather inside and out, with waxed canvas panels and waxed laces. Of note are the subtle structural changes, such as the heel tab and suede rand, alongside various hits of Holden branding. These will release alongside matching Vans x Holden snowboard boots.

haha been holding this in for a while. Buddy of mine works for Holden and let me in on this cause he knows how I am with Vans. Ha totally forgot though since he told me like a month ago.
I like the Vert Sk8 Hi. reminiscent of the Filson Sk8 Hi with half of the shoe leather… Hoping they turn out nice!

Yeah, definitely like the Filsons, but I like some of the minor details even better and it's in a color I wear! haha I really like that there's the stitching around the sole.

Hopefully we can find a shop who is willing to split up the pack, unless they show up at the Rack, like the Airblasters did!

Anybody know how these fit? Kinda tempted to go a half size down since most pro-style and syndicate Vans fit a little big. I know these aren't either of those, but I'm guessing they may fit like those lines...

I tried on erwin's pair, since he ordered an 11, and I would say they fit identical to any good fitting Sk8-Hi with a removable insole. There's only full sizes for these, so size a half up, if you're a half sizer like me. I ordered a 12.

Oh weird, I forget what site I was looking at earlier, but they had these available in half sizes. Definitely gonna have to place my order tomorrow after seeing that blog post with the detailed pics, though! I was planning on ordering anyway, but those just got me even more excited!
