I really like that they added the tongue label and hope that stays.
I almost take offense at the blog posting that every "true" vans collector has at least one pair of Bones in their collection... I always thought they were just super hyped and overrated til I ran across a pair of slip-ons for like 30 bucks once and picked 'em up. They just always struck me as kind of Hot Topic-y... Although having a pair definitely has improved my view of them and I wouldn't mind a pair of black authentics or sk8-hi's now. haha I probably won't get any of these, either. Burgundy isn't really in my wardrobe.

But you see what I mean, right? Everyone has at least 1 pair. Including me. I used to shake my head at the crossbones. I even passed up multiple 003 pairs at the Rack!!! I just didn't get it, but I came around.

Haha, yes, I guess I do see what you mean! Cuz even I have one pair, and for years I thought they were just ridiculous and couldn't see the appeal. haha Glad you didn't think I was being super serious on that post either!
With the Bones, it seems like the materials and comfort are what make the difference. If they put out a GR that looked like those, I think most of us would've just scoffed at them and left them to the mall goths. haha But then who knows, I do have some pretty ridiculous shoes in my collection. haha

they are just perfect. Materials look fantastic, and the pricing on these is no joke, so they should be the finest wtaps release yet.

Oh man...
If I remember correctly 005 and 006 Eras were 65 bucks, I was hoping burgundys will be something around that.

Cross our fingers! Do these have canvas sides as well, or all suede? I can't tell by the pics, and even then, the pics might be samples that are all suede. I hate looking at burgundy shoes on a white or black background, because it makes the shoes look like the white balance is off in the picture. Like are those black shoes?!?

the photos appear to show them in the standard suede toe and heel combo, with canvas/embroidered sidepanels. the sk8-hi is the most difficult to tell because it is out of focus in almost all the shots, except this one below...but i think i see enough contrast in the burgundy's to make it canvas side as well.
That suede looks so buttery!

I do really like that they've been using the sk8-hi vert pro model so much more lately (although they also used the "vert pro" description with the Grosso and Schaaf sk8-mids, now I'm starting to wonder what we should be calling the sk8-hi's and mids with the narrower leather in the ollie area? haha)
