i was told there's a forest green one coming out around holiday but i'd love a regular black/white pair to skate in. all the syndicate ones i know of were too modified for my taste. were the '92 barbees a pro issue? i've read that they might be but never handled them in person. if anyone knows of a release that might suit me please let me know.

Nope, 92 Barbees are regular Old Skools with some colorway twists and better materials.
And yeah, Old Skool Pro would be awesome!!

There is a Ray Barbee Pro Classic Old Skool coming in October and it is a forest green suede. However, there is a Grosso Pro Classic Old Skool coming out in January and it is a black/white nubuck.

The tnt 5 also slightly resembles the Fred Meyer Vans that are garbage. I understand that it probably skates very well, but I must have an aesthetically pleasing shoe to look down at, otherwise it throws my game off. Old skools look much nicer. When I put in my order through SPoT I slept on these Barbee Old Skools and now I regret it. I would way rather have a pair of those over the new Burgundy Bones.

They've got the Grosso old skool's on the Vans site. They're basically the Barbee's, but black. I'm liking them much more than the green! Might have to pick up a pair.
