Im Robert and I'm from Miami, im 28 and i've been into sneakers almost my entire life, I also like Tattoos, Hardcore/Punk music, Star Wars and Jeeps

I used to collect Jordan/Nikes a couple of years back until I had my house broken into in 2011 and half my collection of over 25 pairs got stolen (not a huge collection but I had some heat in there! Lol ) along with a lot of stuff from my house smfh. After that I got extremely frustrated and sold what I had left and "retired", keeping only a pair of AJ1 lows to hang around. Anyway! About a year ago started buying Vans, mostly Authentics, Eras, a couple of Sk8 Hi's and one of my all time sneaker favorite, Rowley's. A couple of weeks ago I started sneaking around here...and kinda got the "itch" to learn about the Syndicate/Vault and all these limited releases I see around, so Im back into collecting officially, this time Vans. I got over 30 pairs, mostly general releases, nothing special. Im looking forward to learn from this site, I see a lot of people here with a lot of knowledge!

Welcome! ...and another mission accomplished on our part. Your story is like a few others, and most of us came from buying and collecting just Nike and Jordans. After this morning's Diamond Dunk Hi drop, and a lot of disappointed people, perhaps we will pick up a few more who are tired of the nonsense that they have to put up with. I ordered my first pairs of Syndicate over the weekend, Speyer Sk8-Hi '91 Pro "S" and the Rapidweld Sk8-Hi, cant wait for them to get here!

Thats a rough story Rob, sorry to hear about your misfortunes.
Hopefully we can help you rebuild your collection.. by replacing all those Jay's with Vans!

Im a 9.5 on Sk8-Hi, 10 on everthing else

Rob: Erwin collects mostly Sk8-Hi's...and Half Cabs. Mostly. We all have other stuff, but we all tend to like a specific model more than others.

Sk8 Hi's are actually my favorite, trying to concentrate on collecting those, I like Eras a lot and Half Cabs are very nice. Whats your fave model?

Old Skools including OG Style 36's, Mid Skools, Half Cabs (incl. Mountain Editions and Mike Carrolls which I feel are a branch off of the Half Cab tree), then Sk8-Hi's, all in that order. The rest come after!
