It's probably more appropriate to say that "normal people" don't wear peacoats period...but these make sense to somebody, otherwise they wouldn't have been made in the first place.

Yeah, just cuz they're inspired by peacoats doesn't mean that they have to be the same color as most peacots. If these didn't have the peacoat styling, there probably wouldn't be as much that's noticeably odd in the colorways. That said, I won't be getting these, but I'd love to have one of the pairs from the last release. They were just too hard to find for me!

Vans Vault drops a couple of new colorways in its Peacoat Chukka Boot for fall/winter 2010. The shoes feature the same wool upper seen on last year’s edition, with updated wine and tan colorways for the new season. Leather laces and a nautical-inspired button, as seen on most peacoats, is placed on the heel strap. Look for both now through select Vans Vault accounts, including Bows & Arrows online.

the khaki colored/ carhartt color is nice. id like to get a pair of those if and when they release.
