The Jeff Grosso SK8-Mid Pro Vert Shoe is an instant classic designed and tested by the legendary Jeff Grosso himself.

It features a combination of premium leather and suede upper materials, Dura-cap toe and ollie areas, padded tongue and collars, high-grade PU footbeds, vulcanized gum rubber outsoles, and of course the original waffel grip.

Jeff also brought in his long time buddy John Lucero to do the artwork for the insole of the shoe.

There will also be a Sk-8 Hi to release with this along with another shoe that I can't remember, I think an AV6. Same c/w on all three.

Really looking forward to these. Also pumped to see Grosso jumping on Anti Hero! I wonder how Lucero took it.

The other shoe is an era again. Same 3 as last time. Last release really grew on me and it's now one of my all-time favorite sets... This one, so far, isn't doing as much for me. But we'll see! I might pick up the sk8-hi, but I'm not sold on 'em just yet. But, like I said, the last release slowly grew on me til I had to have 'em all. Of course, I also wear a lot more vivid greens and vivid colors in general, so that was part of it. I don't wear much maroon or anything that would go with it, though, so sk8-hi will probably be what I pick up (plus, I can hardly resist sk8-hi vert models...).

Vans really needs to get on the ball and NOT have the description from last year's release as the description for these in the store. I mean, it's fine, til they mention the black and green... haha

That would suck since I love mid's!

But with how popular the wtaps mids have been, plus other mids vans has done, I kind of doubt they'd just stop putting them out. If anything, the wtaps are gonna make people want other colorways of 'em!

I've always been a sucker for burgundy or maroon colorways, especially shoes with simple silhouettes like the era. I like the mids, but I've never really been able to rock them. I have this weird thing, more like a pet-peeve, which is that I need to be able to see the tongue of my shoe when I look down. If I don't I feel like I'm wearing super baggy pant because the pant leg is covering the shoe. Sorry if that sounds odd, but that's me.

dude I feel you too! My GMA takes the leg openings and closes them up a little bit so they rest on the top of my shoes...
