This pair is a personal pair, i have wanted something new and i wanted to customize a Vans Era sneaker since i have never done it.
So what i did was add new wax silk material to the side panels.
Replaced the liner with a black leather liner to match the dark tone of the kicks.
White eyelets with red top eyelets to match the red Vans heel logo.
Leather heel tab.

WOw, nice! I wanted to take apart a pair of Eras before, but I was puzzled as how to do it, and put it back together. NOw I have a better understanding of it, and maybe some day I will try this! I will blog this in a bit, when I'm not busy!

Thanks for the comment dude, i purchased the red eyelets at a local craft store for $3.00. You should be able to find them online or on e-bay, also check out Amazon.com cause i have been able to find eyelets in every color there.

So craft eyelets are ok, then? I figured they might be, but heard they might be too soft.

No they are not craft eyelets, they where just purchased at an Arts and Crafts store, they are 5/32 eyelets used for leather goods.
Here is a link on Amazon to the same ones i bought
