I saw the Navy/Midnight at the Vans store... Thanks for the heads up Rocketgoof.

I actually think the GR release is a nicer shoe than the Syndicate & SUPREME releases.... just my opinion.

I think I actually agree with you on that! I tend to be more keen on canvas vs suede, but when I do have suede, I like it to be the smoother kind like on the GR than the really, ummm, I can't even think of a description for the syndicate version. Feathery? But yeah, while the suede is less soft on the GR, I still like the overall shoe better. I was surprised that it actually seemed more comfortable and that they thought out all those extra little details like the extra padding in the tongue and collar and the impactzorb gel in the insole.

Nappy is what I always call the suede on shoes like the UNDFTD Hernan Eras and Zero Lo "S"

Ahh, yes, nappy is a good word for it. Definitely was nappier on the Hernan's! Too nappy for me I think, haha. It was still acceptably nappy for me on the Zero Lo "S," though.

I'm excited for the supertuff suede Era Pro's. I thought the all black pair out now was supertuff suede at first. Some pics it looked like it, some pics not... But since these are stated as such, I'll be more confident about ordering a pair. I wonder if they'll have waxed laces like the supertuff half cabs? mmmmmmmmm...

Hemp era pros look nice and the arcata looks like a promising shoe.. Might cop them if they look good in person.
