Vans x Zumiez Chukka Low Gum Pack

I know some of you had some beef with the quality on the last pair of these Zumiez did...and I'm sceptical because the gum soles on these look a little weird, but aside from that - these are looking pretty good. I like the choice of materials, along with the extras (leather tag, bronze eyelets, and piping), but I'm not sure about that sole.

Quality seems ok. My only concern is the piping. I think it's going to crack and flake fairly easy if it gets moist/wet.

I have both pairs and they seem to hold up fine, although I have really only worn either a handful of times each.
