I don't like the stripe. The stitching makes it too obvious, making them look to me, a lot like a TNT II. Fine shoe, but not the MC.
They had what, nylon on the side panels last time? That obscured it a bit, at least to me, making it less of an issue.

I like how on the original, it's a sort of perf stripe, like in jacob's photo above. That's how it should be.

Still, real nice, and I'm psyched they're keeping this going.

The stripe is a little off but these are way closer to the OG's than last years. No nylon & nubuck over suede make these damn close.

Yo these kids hate bc they arent even old enough to have appreciated MC in his prime! They cant appreciate the history behind these so they'll run and get in line for galaxy foams, re-re-re retro jordans or the 20th colorway of lebrons this year. Its all good with me...makes getting all 4 that much easier. And goods looks on the shout out akamedaniel!

Not hating. I have the 2011 set. Just saying it was a jackpot for us when they showed up there. Check this post for reference.

Nice! I remember going in to the store and getting four of the six colorways of the s/s11 old skools and having the guy at the register ask why I wasn't getting any of the mike carrolls. I told him that I wasn't too fond of the colorways, that had they had a red colorway, it would have been a different story. To which he replied something along the lines of maybe they would drop some red one's in the future. Haha, guess he wasn't just yanking my chain!!

I actually remember someone in this thread talking about a red colorway before the first set dropped. Yo Guam i guess that white sample pair over the summer is explainable now. Makes me feel so much better about missing out on them lol.

Sorry didn't pick up the 1st drop and i wonh't be picking up these. Damn i swear i knew this week was gonna be a Vans collab , but these just came outta left field. Dissapointed!!
