Re: Other Pickups
Fuck yeah! I remember when the color came out. Revolutionary, compared to the OG green screen Game Boy! Nostalgia for sure! Anyone else in here have a DS? My girl and I always bring them when we go line up for a release or something, and we download play. It's the best shit ever. It also helps having a memory card cartridge with a bunch of games on it...free FTW.

Re: Other Pickups
I never had a gameboy until color came out. I had the solid purple one. I remember getting it at Sears when I was little. Man that thing was sick! Best times with it were with my friends and cousins when we would bust out the link cable on pokemon and battle/trade. Pokemon was hands down the best game you could have. I still have all my cartridges and a few doubles that my friends gave me when they got out of it. Hell I even have NOS copy of Pokemon gold which happened to be my christmas present from years ago. Turned up in one of our closets in the beginning of the year. Still christmas wrapped "To : Luis". I'm still into Pokemon though. No joke.
Re: Other Pickups
Lol. Gameboy brings back good memories indeed.
I remember some sports game (Olympics '92 I think it was) where you had to push A + B as fast as you could to run fast. I ruined my Gameboy pushing those button so hard they fell off.
Parents never gave me a new one. I still hate em for that.

Hah! My homies had all the video game stuff, that's why it still has nostalgia for me. My first Game Boy, was actually the Advanced, transparent purple one. They weren't even cool when I got it then. Don't know why I even got it!

Re: Other Pickups
I had the advance one to. Solid purple again. I don't know why but my parents got me purple systems both times! Wish the screens would have been backlit when they came out so I could play at night without having to turn on the lights, but I got by. I had the camera and printer too. That shit took gameboy to a whole other level.DJGuamstyles wrote:Hah! My homies had all the video game stuff, that's why it still has nostalgia for me. Solid pink GBC 4 life! And I was NEVER ashamed of its color. N.E.V.E.R. Hell, I was the only one in school who had GBC. Grandma sent it to me all the way from US. Everybody was like: 'Whaaaaa?! Dude, let me hold it!'

Bought my little Sister (9) a DFish (her favorite player) signed ball. I'm a MAVS FAN FOR LIFE. But she likes the Lakers and Fish. So I picked it up.
